A friend of mine who has a young child recently told me that very small babies aren’t as interested in plain stuffed animals as they are in things that make noise. In order to accommodate their developmental needs, I recently crocheted some bird “rattles” that have two 25mm-sized bells, one in the head and one in the body. Check them out!
I’m hoping to make enough of these in the next few months to sell at local consignment shops as well as on my Etsy store. The birds are crocheted with 100% cotton yarn (instead of acrylic), so they’re perfect for little teething kiddos. 🙂
The pattern for these birdies can be found in Stacey Trock’s book, Cuddly Crochet.
Total time for each bird: 3.5 hours
